Whole School Deanery Day

For Core & Advanced Trainees,

2012 Annual Deanery Trainees Day.

We are keen that attendance at this event be prioritised by both Core and Advanced Trainees, and aim to provide a programme of interest to both trainee groups.

This will be an ideal forum in which core and advanced trainees can meet together and engage in shared learning.

This year, we hope to make the meeting more academically focussed, giving trainees the opportunity to share their training experiences, and as such would like to invite interested trainees to submit their research, audit, teaching or management projects for poster and oral presentation. If anyone has had any "out-of-the-box"/unusual training experiences or other presentation ideas, we would welcome your submissions too.

This is a great forum in which to showcase the work that you are doing as part of your training. Though poster presentations are offered at many conferences, the opportunity for trainees to give Oral presentations is fairly limited, so we hope that the annual Deanery Day will provide an ideal opportunity for some trainees to develop their oral presentation experience.

Remember - Oral or poster presentations also enhance your CV's for future job applications!

If you would like to present your work at this meeting, please submit a brief abstract (300 words max):

Suggested abstract content (though please feel free to adapt this to suit your work):
Title, Author
Aims/Objectives
Methods
Results
Conclusions

Please indicate whether you would like your work to be considered for an oral and/or poster presentation.

We have the capacity for approximately 4-6 oral presentations , each of 15 minutes, so where the number of entries exceed places, places will be offered based upon the abstract submission.

Submissions should be made by Nov 14th 2012 to Dr Andrew Clark

We will let you know by Nov 21st whether there is room in the programme for your presentation/poster.
